What is stand up pouch? Stand up pouch refers to a flexible packaging pouch with a horizontal support structure at the bottom, which can stand on its own with or without the bag open. Stand-up pouch is a relatively new form of packaging, which has advantages in many aspects such as upgrading product grades, enhancing shelf visual effects, portability, ease of use, freshness preservation and sealability. Generally speaking, many of the stand-up pouches are made of laminated PET/foil/PET/PE structure.But they can also have the structures of two layers, three layers or other materials laminated, depending on the different products to be packaged. Ordinary stand-up pouch
The general form of stand-up pouch adopts the form of four sealing sides, which cannot be re-closed and opened repeatedly. This kind of stand-up pouch is generally used in the industrial supplies industry.
Stand-up pouch with spout
The stand-up pouch with spout is more convenient to pour or absorb the contents, and at the same time, it can be re-closed and opened repeatedly. It can be considered as the creative combination of stand-up pouch and ordinary bottle mouth. This kind of stand-up pouch is generally used in the packaging of daily necessities and hold beverages, shower gels, shampoos, ketchup, edible oil, jelly and other liquid, colloid, and semi-solid products.
Stand-up pouch with zipper
Stand-up pouches with zippers can also be re-closed and re-opened. Since the zipper is not closed with its limited closure strength, this form is not suitable for liquids and volatile substances. According to the different edge sealing methods, it is divided into two types: four-edge sealing and three-edge sealing. Four-edge sealing means that the product package has a layer of ordinary edge sealing besides the zipper seal when the packaging is finished. The ordinary edge sealing needs to be torn off before use. Then use the zipper to realize repeated sealing. This method solves the disadvantage of the zipper with small strength. The three-side seal is directly sealed with a zipper seal, which is generally used to hold lightweight products. Stand-up pouches with zipper are generally used to pack some light solids, such as candy, biscuits, jelly, etc., but stand-up bags with four sides can also be used to pack heavier products such as rice.
Mouth-like stand-up pouch
The mouth-like stand-up pouch combines the convenience of a stand-up pouch with spout and the cheapness of an ordinary stand-up pouch. That is to say, the function of the spout is realized by the shape of the pouch itself. However, mouth-like stand-up pouches cannot be re-sealed. Therefore, they are generally used in the packaging of disposable liquid, colloid, and semi-solid products such as beverages and jelly.

According to the needs, new stand-up pouches of various shapes changed on the basis of traditional pouch shapes, such as waist design, bottom deformation design, handle design, etc. With the progress of society, the improvement of people's aesthetic level and the intensification of competition in various industries, the kind of stand-up pouches has become more and more colorful, with more and more forms of expression. The development of shaped stand-up pouches has gradually replaced the traditional-shape stand-up pouches.
