Our mission- protecting the environment through to the end

June 28, 2024

As environmental protection has become the theme of global economic development, our company-Global Fortune Package has been adhering to the purpose of protecting the environment since the beginning of our business, creating more beautiful, practical and environmentally friendly flexible packaging for our customers. This means that in our company's entire production process, from material ordering, ink and glue selection to environmental performance control of machinery and equipment, we always control every step to protect the environment and meanwhile reduce environmental pollution. In terms of raw material selection, we will select environmentally friendly raw materials, maximize the use of environmentally friendly materials for production and reduce emissions as well . Of course, when we offer new packaging solutions for our customers, we also make the concept of environmental protection parallel to practicality, so that it can’t only reflect the functionality of the packaging, but also play an environmental role. On the other hand, this can also create a better reputation for the customer's brand. In the selection of raw materials such as ink, glue, machine oil, etc., our company will also choose companies with environmental protection qualifications as our raw material suppliers. In terms of energy use, our factories can rationally use energy during operation, so that the machines and labor in the workshop can be used more efficiently. At the same time, in order to avoid wasting resources and improve efficiency, our company will eliminate machines that have suffered significant losses and purchase and use newer, more energy-saving machines.

In short, our company is constantly promoting green and environmental protection development. In recent years, we will also choose more environmentally friendly materials for packaging raw materials. So, what are the more environmentally friendly materials at present?

The kind of materials mainly includes PLA, PBAT, TPS, PVA, kraft paper.

PLA is polylactic acid, a new type of bio-based degradable material.

PLA is usually made from starch extracted from renewable plant resources (such as corn, potatoes, etc.). It has many advantages, such as good biodegradability, which can be decomposed into water and carbon dioxide by microorganisms under certain conditions having little impact on the environment.

PLA material also has excellent performance, with certain strength and toughness, always used to manufacture various products, such as disposable tableware, packaging materials, fiber textiles, etc.

PBAT is polybutylene adipate/terephthalate, a petrochemical-based biodegradable plastic.

PBAT has good ductility and elongation at break, as well as excellent biodegradability. It can be decomposed by microorganisms under composting conditions and eventually converted into carbon dioxide, water and biomass.

PBAT is often used to make plastic films, such as agricultural mulch, shopping bags, garbage bags, etc. It can alleviate the environmental pollution problems caused by traditional plastics to a certain extent.

However, PBAT also has some shortcomings. For example, its price is relatively high and its heat resistance needs to be improved.

Thermoplastic Starch (TPS), also known as unstructured starch, is a material that disordered the starch structure by a certain method and made it thermoplastic. It has a white or light-yellow powder appearance, a slightly sweet fragrance. Moreover, it has the characteristics of low production cost, environmental protection, high melting temperature and good fluidity.

Thermoplastic starch is mainly used in biodegradable plastics, adhesives and other fields. Under the "dual carbon" goal, its market demand continues to rise.

PVA, or polyvinyl alcohol, is a widely used water-soluble polymer.

PVA has good water solubility, film-forming, adhesion and emulsification properties.

In terms of industrial applications, PVA is often used in textile pulp, vinylon fiber raw materials, paper processing aids, adhesives, coatings and other fields.

PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) has certain characteristics and advantages in environmental protection, but it also has some limitations.

There are some advantages of PVA as following:

1. Biodegradability: Under suitable conditions, such as the presence of specific microorganisms and environments, PVA can be biodegraded, thereby reducing the long-term cumulative impact on the environment.

2. Water solubility: PVA has good water solubility, which makes it possible to reduce the use of organic solvents and reduce the emission of volatile organic compounds in certain applications, which is more environmentally friendly.

Kraft paper is a very strong packaging paper.

It is usually yellow-brown in color and has high tear strength and burst resistance. The main raw material of kraft paper is kraft softwood pulp, and sometimes some waste paper pulp is mixed in.

Kraft paper has many advantages. First, its cost is relatively low and cost-effective. Second, its environmental performance is good and it can be recycled and reused. Furthermore, kraft paper has good moisture resistance and air permeability, which can protect the items in the package to a certain extent.

In terms of application, kraft paper is widely used to make paper bags, envelopes, file bags, cement bags, commodity packaging, etc. In addition, due to its unique texture and appearance, it is also often used in some creative designs and handmade products.

The environmental performance of kraft paper is relatively good, which is mainly reflected in the following aspects:

1. Source of raw materials: The main raw material of kraft paper is wood fiber, which is a renewable resource. As long as forest resources are reasonably planned and managed to ensure the balance between felling and planting, sustainable supply can be achieved.

2. Recyclability: Kraft paper has good recyclability. After recycling, it can be made into paper or other paper products again, reducing the generation of waste and the demand for original resources.

3. Degradability: Compared with some plastic packaging materials, kraft paper is more easily degraded in the natural environment and will not remain for a long time to cause environmental pollution.

4. Production process: Compared with some complex papermaking processes, the production process of kraft paper is relatively simple, usually without excessive chemical treatment and additives, reducing potential harm to the environment.

However, it should be noted that the production of kraft paper still consumes a certain amount of energy and water resources and may produce pollutants such as wastewater and waste gas. But overall, among many packaging materials, kraft paper is one of the more environmentally friendly options.
